Impulse Devices, Inc. is an applied physics R&D firm pioneering Extreme Acoustic Cavitation™, a transformative power creating revolutionary commercial and industrial applications in a wide variety of industries, including energy, health, the environment, and manufacturing.

Impulse was established in 1999 to investigate acoustic inertial confinement fusion (Acoustic ICF)—a variety of “hot” fusion that would require far less energy, space, and funding than other current approaches. Impulse has made groundbreaking progress in this endeavor, opened new parameter spaces in the field, and generated valuable intellectual property, including 38 patents and an additional 30 patents pending or in development. Among the many achievements of this research is Impulse’s acoustic cavitation under extreme static pressures unsurpassed by any other organization worldwide.

Today, the firm’s internationally recognized team of scientists, engineers, technicians, and management continues its investigation of Acoustic ICF, even as it applies its expertise in Extreme Acoustic Cavitation™ to a broad range of other sonochemical applications in a variety of industries.
