Our Objectives

Continued efforts will be made in several key areas including: technology development, promotion of the technology, and business development.

We intend to accelerate the pace of technical advancement, both in our own laboratory and with the contract physicist's work on computer simulations. The computer simulations are being conducted in the Los Alamos area by six former National Laboratory physicists with over a hundred years combined experience including over fifty years combined experience in laser fusion programs.

Dr. Felipe Gaitan, an expert in physical acoustics and cavitation, is conducting the experiments to match aspects of the computer simulations. The devices being constructed are significantly different from any in the public domain. With current funding, significantly more powerful devices are being constructed.

Impulse Devices' efforts include promoting the technology to large research institutions and corporations with the goal to forge joint development efforts. We are currently exploring the possibility of collaboration under a CRADA (Cooperative Research and Development Agreement) so that one of the National Labs could begin a new fusion research program in Acoustic ICF physics and assist IDI in the development of this new technology. Currently we seek collaboraton in modeling the collapse processes, and we expect that IDI will enter into higher dollar research CRADA's subsequent to these initial investigations. The additional work is anticipated to include experimental verification of the hydrodynamic modeling results.
