Ross Tessien, President and founder of IDI, received his BS in mechanical engineering from California State University at Chico. He personally discovered the cavitation fusion techniques being developed and patented at IDI. For the past 14 years, he has assisted dozens of companies with new product and technology developments as president of Impulse Engineering, Inc. His technology experience includes microwave switch matrices, space shuttle fuel mixers, automated manufacturing machinery, and geophysical test equipment. Prior to founding Impulse Engineering, he worked as a mechanical design engineer on impedance controlled cables for 3M and Chabin Corporation. Mark Ludwig, CEO (MBA Harvard, BS Mathematics - RPI). Experience in start-ups, turn-arounds, and strategic re-direction, with particular focus in general management. Mark serves on the Board of MedSeek, Inc., Mixonic, Inc., AirTreks, Inc., and AeroAstro, Inc. Previous positions held include VP of Worldwide Sales at the Gartner Group, Senior VP at Crystal Technologies, GM at Computer Automation and Western Digital, and career start at Xerox Corporation. Bob Leppo, member of IDI's Advisory Board and lead investor, received his BA in History from Stanford University and a MBA from Harvard Business School. Bob has successfully developed and implemented on-going strategy for personal venture capital investing focusing on start-up/early stage ventures and since 1995 increasingly focused on the Internet. Major successful investments and board membership dates include Information America (1983-92), Advent Software (1983-95), AeroAstro (1990-99), Best Internet (1995-7), MedSeek (1995-99), and ValueClick (1998-99). Major unsuccessful ventures include Pacific American Launch Systems (1986-89), Wavetron (1993-95), and Ecofe (1996-98). Dr. Felipe Gaitan, Chief Scientist, received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Mississippi, and is an experimentalist with a ten year history in cavitation physics. In 1989, while still a graduate student, he was responsible for the discovery of single bubble sonoluminescence, creating a new field of study in physics. His discovery and research in this area are internationally recognized and the study of sonoluminescence has led a new generation of physicists to begin contemplating the potential for using acoustically-driven cavitation to produce fusion reactions. Mike Cannon, Chief Information Officer, co-founder, studied digital electronics and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley. He has a twenty-seven year background in computer systems development, and business management. Mike is an expert in electronic design and control, and has had numerous patents granted. He invented, designed, manufactured, and marketed the electronic device with which deaf people use the telephone (the TDD), a project that received special recognition from the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, Caspar Weinberger, at a ceremony in Washington, DC. The project was also showcased at the Smithsonian Museum for outstanding industrial design. Mike also pioneered the development of interactive computer timeshare services.
